The Rose Garden (*SOLD*)
This 12" x 12" painting was joyfully created in many stages over many months! It is a celebration of my love of roses! It is made on a wooden cradle board and is a mixed media collage. On the base layer, is a lattice-type material I found at a thrift store. I resined that, then painted the rose garden with acrylic paint. I added some sparkly bits (upcycled jewelry) and gave it a final coat of resin. There are 5 layers in this painting!
The resin I use is called Art Resin. This is a non-toxic, and high-quality art product. It is high gloss and is UV resistant. Resin artworks can be displayed in higher humidity rooms like kitchens and bathrooms. The surface can be wiped/polished with a soft cloth and gentle window cleaner type product.
