Hope for the Salish Sea
This orca duo of a mother and her calf is constructed on top of an abstract acrylic painting. The orcas themselves are made of paper and paint as is the kelp forest they are swimming in.
The painting is 11x14" and is nested inside a stained wooden frame. It is ready for hanging!
The Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKWs) of the Pacific Northwest are critically endangered. Every birth of a calf is a symbol of hope for their survival.
The art is coated in two layers of Art Resin, which enriches the colours and textures of the art AND... it provides a beautiful glossy finish. Resin coated artwork like this piece, can be displayed in higher humidity rooms like kitchens and bathrooms. The surface can be wiped/polished with a soft cloth and a gentle glass cleaner.
The price includes shipping to Canada and the U.S. only. If you are outside of North America, please send me a note and we can discuss shipping costs! Thank you!
