This wee painting is an ode to love and the ever cute chickadee!
It is 6 x 6 inches and constructed on a 1 3/4" thick wooden cradle board.
This is a mixed media collage using acrylic paint, handmade beautiful paper (tree branch), and upcycled metal objects (leaves). I have used a wood burning tool to burn the word LOVE into the sky of the painting, and I did some etching around the bird to provide some sense of depth.
I finished the artwork with a layer of Art Resin. Resin gives the art a beautiful high gloss finish which is durable. It can be displayed in high humidity rooms like kitchens or bathrooms. The surface can be wiped/dusted with a soft cloth and gentle glass cleaner.
